Bleach is now all over your clothes and you have these ugly, discolored, old looking spots all over you. Just like the bleach that can cause spots on your clothes, you can have those same spots that show up in your life! ISN'T THAT WILD??? A family member passes---add a spot, breakup?---add a spot, lost a friend---add a spot. All of these things happening in life and you accumulate all of these spots that people can see so clearly. You can't hide them. You try to cover them up with "Reckless Joy," but people can still see them. So you begin to feel broken, unworthy, confused and uncomfortable because everyone can see your spots. MAN OH MAN. *gets churchy right here y'all* I KNOW A SOLUTION!
Let me tell you.. it's okay for someone to see your spots. It just mean you've been through a few mishaps but you didn't give up, you kept going!!! I am proud of you, I'm rooting for you, keep going! So what someone sees the spots? Your spots symbolize resilience, preservation and growth. I love your imperfections. THEY HAVE A PURPOSE. In the end you will see---just like the bleach on a T-shirt, the spots actually enhance your look. *TONGUES*
1. Don't be too hard on yourself.
2. Surround yourself with like-minded people.
3. Ask God to help you endure with your spots.
4. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR JOY.
"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind." James 1:2-6
